EAPG Glass Plate — a fine example of mass-produced Victorian-era American tableware. Made during the 1850–1910 period, this plate is formed from pressed glass and features a central starburst pattern surrounded by etched floral motifs. These plates were part of matched sets and produced using early industrial molds to bring ornate patterns into working- and middle-class homes .
The popularity of EAPG was driven by its affordability and durability, and its intricate patterns mimicked cut glass at a fraction of the cost. Many collectors also prize the subtle lavender glow that can appear under UV light in some manganese-based EAPG glass.
A classic collectible for lovers of American antiques and decorative glass.
